Follow these steps to effectively apply our soothing balm and help your dog's skin heal:

• 1. Clean the Affected Area (Crucial):

  • Gently clean the dry skin or hotspot area with a mild, dog-safe antiseptic solution or warm water and a clean cloth.

  • Pat the area completely dry. Ensure there is no moisture left, as this can worsen hot spots.

  • For hot spots, you may need to carefully trim the fur around the area to expose it fully and allow for better air circulation and product absorption.

• 2. Scoop a Small Amount:

  • Our balm is concentrated, so a little goes a long way. Scoop a pea-sized amount (or slightly more for larger areas) onto your clean finger or a clean, soft cloth.

• 3. Warm in Your Hands (Optional but Recommended):

  • Gently rub the balm between your palms for a few seconds. The warmth from your hands will slightly soften the product, making it easier to spread and absorb.

• 4. Gently Apply to Affected Areas:

  • For Dry Skin/Pads: Gently massage the balm directly onto dry paw pads, elbows, nose, or any other areas of dry, flaky skin.

  • For Hot Spots: Carefully dab or spread a thin layer of the balm directly onto the hot spot. Ensure complete coverage without applying too thickly, which could trap moisture.

• 5. Prevent Licking (Very Important!):

  • Supervise your dog closely for at least 10-15 minutes after application to prevent them from licking the product off.

  • Consider using a soft E-collar (cone of shame), a recovery suit, or distracting your dog with a favorite toy or treat immediately after application. While our ingredients are natural, ingestion in large quantities isn't ideal and prevents the product from working effectively on the skin.

• 6. Reapply as Needed:

  • For best results, reapply 2-3 times daily, or as directed by your veterinarian, until the dry skin improves or the hot spot begins to heal. Consistency is key!
