INSTRUCTIONS
Basic Steps for Use
-
Wet your skin: Start by rinsing your body or hands with lukewarm water to loosen dirt and oils. Avoid very hot water, as it can dry out your skin and melt the soap faster.
-
Create a lather: Rub the bar between your wet hands for about 15–20 seconds until you get a foamy lather. You can also rub the bar directly onto a washcloth, loofah, or soap mitt to create more bubbles.
-
Apply and scrub: Massage the lather over your skin. If you are in the shower, many experts recommend washing from top to bottom (starting at your neck and working down to your feet) to ensure a total rinse.
-
Rinse thoroughly: Wash away all the suds with clean water to ensure no soapy residue is left behind.
How to Use a Dish Soap Bar
-
Wet the brush: Hold your dish brush under warm running water. Avoid getting the soap bar itself too wet; the brush should carry the moisture.
-
Create a lather: Rub the wet bristles directly onto the soap bar in circular motions. You’ll see a rich, foamy lather build up on the brush.
-
Scrub and rinse: Use the lathered brush to scrub your dishes vigorously. For extra greasy pots, you can grate a small sliver of soap into the pan and add hot water to soak it first.
-
Dry the bar: To make it last four to six months, store the bar on a self-draining tray. Leaving it in a puddle will cause it to dissolve prematurely.
Tips for Longevity
-
Keep it dry: The most important rule is to let the soap dry between uses. Store it on a slotted soap dish with drainage rather than a flat surface where it might sit in a puddle.
-
Stay out of the spray: Keep your soap in a spot where it won’t be constantly splashed by the shower stream.
-
Use every bit: When the bar gets small, you can press the sliver onto a new bar of soap or put it in a soap saver bag to use it up completely.
-
WARNING:
Important Safety Warning
Discontinue use if irritation occurs. If you experience any redness, itching, burning, or a rash after using the soap, stop using it immediately and rinse the affected area thoroughly with cool water.
Best Practices for Sensitive Skin
-
Patch Test First: Before using a new soap all over, apply a small amount of lather to a discreet area (like the inside of your elbow) and wait 24 hours to check for a reaction.
-
Check Ingredients: If you have known allergies, always review the ingredient list for common triggers like essential oils, fragrances, or specific nut oils (like almond or coconut).
-
Consult a Professional: If irritation persists or is severe, it is best to contact a healthcare provider or dermatologist.
