How to Use Your Natural Shave Bar for a Smooth Shave

 

Follow these steps for an optimal shaving experience with your natural shave bar.

• 1. Prepare Your Skin (Crucial First Step):

  • Warm Water is Key: Shower or wash the area you intend to shave with warm to hot water for at least 2-3 minutes. This softens your hair and opens up pores, allowing for a closer, more comfortable shave.

  • Exfoliate (Optional but Recommended): For an even smoother result and to prevent ingrown hairs, gently exfoliate the skin beforehand.

• 2. Prepare the Shave Bar:

  • Wet the Bar: Hold the shave bar directly under warm running water for a few seconds.

  • Wet Your Brush (Recommended) or Hands: If using a shave brush, wet it thoroughly with warm water and give it a gentle shake to remove excess water, leaving it damp. If using your hands, simply wet them.

• 3. Lather Up!

  • With a Shave Brush: Swirl the damp shave brush directly onto the shave bar in a circular motion. Apply gentle pressure to pick up the product. Continue swirling on the bar or in a separate lathering bowl until a rich, creamy, and stable lather forms. This may take 30-60 seconds.

  • With Your Hands: Rub the wet shave bar vigorously between your wet hands to generate a thick, creamy lather. You can also rub the bar directly onto the skin you intend to shave and then work up a lather with your hands.

• 4. Apply Lather to Skin:

  • Evenly Coat: Apply the generous lather to the area you are about to shave. Ensure the hair is completely coated and the skin is well-lubricated. The thicker the lather, the better the glide and protection.

• 5. Shave with Care:
